I'm trying to help my daughter understand money. When her grandmother gives her a few dollars we go to the Dollar Store and I let her shop for herself. All this started because one time while out shopping she asked for a particular item and I told her she could not have it because I did not have enough money. She kindly reminded me that I did have money: "just give the lady that card in your purse" she said. How I wish it were really that easy. What my toddler doesn't realize is that the value is not in the plastic card, it's in how much money I actually have in my bank account.

But this had me thinking. I believe we treat God the same way sometimes. We look at His blessings and start to think the value is in the blessing and not God Himself. We look to the deliverance and not the Deliverer. We look to the healing and not the Healer. We look to the provision and not the Provider, to the blessing and not God. This type of thinking is detrimental to our faith because it means our faith is rooted in uncertain circumstances and not our unchanging, all powerful and always worthy God.

So in this week's video Bible study, "Worship God, Not the Outcome”, we learn to look to God for who He is and not only what He can do for us. This is the type of faith that grants our friends Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego the boldness to say:

If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.” – Daniel 3:17-18 (emphasis mine)

Did you hear that? “But even if He does not” they said. Even if God does not give them what they want, they will not stop serving Him because their devotion to God is not based on the outcome of their prayers but the worthiness of their God. And Beloved, our God is worthy.

If you are reading these devotions and have never clicked to listen to the associated video this is your week to do so. If there is only one video you watch from the “Unshaken” Bible Study series THIS IS THE ONE you want to watch. It contains the most important takeaway from this study. One you certainly do not want to miss.

Dear Heavenly Father, you keep your promises, you never change and you are always worthy. May I worship you always as You alone deserve. I love You. In Jesus Christ Name I pray, Amen.

Now, I hope you are encouraged Beloved so let’s not stop here. Comment and let me know, despite the struggle you may be facing today, what is one thing you are grateful to God about? “See” you in the comments, lol. Then be sure to share today’s devotion and video with a friend. You never know who might need to some Beloved encouragement today.

Love always,

Christina

I really hope this "Unshaken" study is blessing you as much as it has blessed me. Let me tell you a secret. Last week's video was probably my favorite all year. The message is one I run to over and over again to remind me to let God be my defender. And as we learned last week, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego are great role models in this area. It's completely key to their unshaken faith and ours. But that's not it alone. They also have confidence in the ability of their God. Another key we desperately need to have unshaken faith.

Their belief in God's ability to deliver helps them to stand bold before the intimidation of King Nebuchadnezzar and the threat of his fiery furnace. Believing God is able is one of the most important things to hold on to in our faith walk. So in this week's video Bible Study, "God Is Able", we take a closer look at this key to unshaken faith and it is my prayer it unlocks a boldness in you to stand for God you never knew you had.

Dear Heavenly Father, You are powerful and able to deliver. I thank You for being the God I can confidently place my faith in. I love You. In Jesus Christ Name I pray, Amen.

Thanks for watching Beloved! Now let's keep this conversation going. Comment and let me know, do you have a favorite video study from Beloved Women? If so, which one is it? Then be sure to share today’s devotion and video with a friend. You never know who might need to some Beloved encouragement today.

Love,

Christina

I can be defensive sometimes. I hate to admit that but it's true. One thing that really bothers me is when someone believes something about me that is untrue. Like, you can think bad about me and if it's true ok, I'm not all good. I get that. But to believe something about me that's not true just makes me cringe. However, I'm getting better with this especially as I get older. As you probably already know, with age comes caring less and less what others think about you. I mean I'm 30 now, ain't nobody got time for that! Amen?

But in addition to getting older there is another thing that has helped with my defensiveness. And this is simply letting God be my defender. It's learning to move out of battles that were never meant for me to fight and let God do His thang like only He can do. And you know what that leads to? Peace girlfriend, P.E.A.C.E! Now peace? I got plenty of time for that and I know you do to.

So in this week's video Bible Study, "Let God Defend You", we see Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego use this same lesson while facing their struggle. They teach us to move aside in faith and let God fight our battles. No more battling the enemy on our own. So get some coffee, watch this week's video and get you some of this peace girl! You'll be glad you did.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for being my defender. Help me to faithfully trust You with all my battles. I love You. In Jesus Christ Name I pray, Amen.

You know the deal! Let's keep this conversation going! Comment and let me know, are you more prone to run into a fight or run the other way? I can't wait to chat with you! Then be sure to share today’s devotion and video with a friend. You never know who might need to some Beloved encouragement today.

With love,

Christina

Hello Beloved!

I loved church when I was a little girl. We were not one of those families in every activity and at church every other day but we were there just about every Sunday and I loved it. I loved the tradition, the music and the hats. The only thing I loved more was Sunday School. It was in Sunday school where I was first introduced to our friends Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.

You may remember their story from Sunday School too. They were the ones thrown into the blazing furnace and miraculously saved by God. But as we continue our study "Unshaken" about their testimony I want to point out that our focus is not primarily on their rescue from the furnace. This study focuses on why they were in the furnace in the first place.

See our three friends could have avoided the blazing furnace situation all together. They could have lied and manipulated their way out of this struggle but they don't. Good thing for us because if they did we would have been deprived of one good Sunday School story.

But our friends were in the furnace because they selected to stand for their God with a boss like faith we admire. And I believe that the main reason why they have this strong faith is because they decided a long time ago that they would not bow to another God. They made this decision long before facing their blazing furnace.

In this week's video Bible Study, "Deciding Moment", we learn that every journey towards an unshaken faith like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego’s starts at the same place: a decision. Have you decided Beloved? Are you all in with God? Because your decision now will determine how you face your fiery furnace later.

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray for the grace to choose You, to make up my mind heart and soul to be all in with You. I love You. In Jesus Christ Name I pray, Amen.

Let's keep this conversation going beloved? Comment and let me know your thoughts about church as a child? I'm curious to know if you found it entertaining, boring or something else altogether. Then be sure to share today’s devotion and video with a friend. You never know who might need to some Beloved encouragement today.

Love ya,

Christina

It's about that time for spring cleaning. Time to go through our closets, attics, and garages to figure out what's for keeps, what's to give away and what simply needs to be thrown away. It always amazes me how much stuff we have. And I never realize it until it's time to clean. Honestly, any other time of year it's easy to just keep all that junk out of sight and forget that it even exists. But when it's time to clean there is no more pretending. I must eventually come face to face with all my junk and do the hard labor of cleaning it up.

I think the same is true for our souls. We all have some junk that needs cleaning. Some issues we would like hidden behind the walls of our hearts. But then struggles come; the type that bring out all our issues, and there's no more room to hide. So in this week's video Bible study, "Facing Our Struggles", we discuss the importance of being honest about the issues we have hidden deep inside our hearts. You'll be encouraged to know that when Jesus is with us, there is no secret too dark that His light can't penetrate. I leave you with  Psalm 139:11-12:

“If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.” - Psalm 139:11-12 NIV

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the light of your truth and love that forgives all sins and heals all wounds. I love You. In Jesus Christ Name I pray, Amen.

Now let's keep this conversation going! Comment and let me know, are you a clean freak who loves spring cleaning or do you run the other way? Then be sure to share today’s devotion and video with a friend. You never know who might need to some Beloved encouragement today.

Love always,

Christina
